Try as I might to keep it a secret from my younger daughters, it only lasted for 16 days! Yes, dear friends, we are expecting a new baby! I found out a couple weeks ago and just last night Emily started asking questions and made me answer. It kinda felt like it did when she wanted to know if Santa was real or not. Do I lie, or tell the truth? Being such a bad liar, I had to finally tell. I guess she's been picking up on things lately, but yesterday she happened to notice a "baby" magazine that I had stashed underneath my drivers seat in the van. I kept forgetting to hide it somewhere else. So, the truth came out. Of course, Emily had to go into hysterics and she cried happy tears for over an hour. I don't think there has ever been another child alive that wanted a baby brother or sister as badly as she does. Its been a very hard year for her since the miscarriage just over a year ago, especially because so many of our good friends and ward members had babies last year when we didn't. Hopefully this one will stick around!
By the way, Sarah was in denial and didn't want to believe it. She was excited of course, but for some reason didn't want to believe it was true. Its hard to imagine that our current "baby of the family" will be a big sister to some one else!
So...on or about November 10, 2009, we will have another addition in our family! Cool due date of 11/10/09! We are all very excited. I haven't been sick (so far!) and hope to not be. My belly is starting to stick out a little bit and I find it more comfortable to wear stretchier pants. Its been so long since I've been pregnant, I don't think the girls remember how big I'm going to get!! aaacccckkkk!!! I've seen the midwife once so far and go back again on Sarah's 6th birthday (April 7). Little Bean has his/her own picture down below the girls'. That's the best I can do for now! :-)
