Sorry, but I've had to lock my blog!

I can't believe what a fool I am sometimes. Having had what I feel like was a negative online experience tonight with someone I thought I could trust, I feel quite vulnerable right now. So, I'm making my blog by invitation only. Not that I think the whole world was reading my blog, but when I share my blog and email and facebook with someone who appears to be trustworthy and then I later find out they aren't, it makes me feel quite foolish. I guess the lesson learned is that I need to be very careful who I share personal stuff with!! Thanks for understanding!

Update:
Well, I still feel like a fool, but for different reasons. Without telling the whole big story, let me just suffice it to say that I learned a huge lesson with this ordeal. First and foremost, don't jump to conclusions about people until you've given them a fair chance and time to explain things. This was a very painful lesson for me and one I hope I'll always remember. I've had to eat humble pie and actually apologize profusely to this person who I thought was deceiving me. Hopefully in time she will forgive me and realize that I'm not some horrible person. Normally I am just NOT like that. I let confusion, impatience and emotion get the better of me.

On the other hand, I guess its good to have a more private blog. It was sorta giving me the creeps when I'd see the locations of people reading the blog...not knowing WHO it was and what they may do with my information (even though I try to not post specifics). Just like I learned with this bad experience, finding out real personal information on the internet is just not that hard.

*sigh*

Finishing a cleanse!

Whew! I did it! I finished another "Master Cleanser"! Its been since last year that I did one and it was badly needed. Last Monday was the day I started, and I finished up with the spicy lemonade last night. Today I'm on to fresh squeezed orange juice, and tomorrow I hope to be on a light vegetable soup. Other than cheating twice with homemade potato soup, I've not had any solids since almost a week ago. And that soup was only eaten because I was having a bit of emotional stress and I needed some comfort food to get me through that moment!! I've lost 5 lbs since a couple weeks ago, and am 2 lbs away from my target weight for January. Woo hoo! Come February, I will re-set another goal and possibly shed another 5-7 lbs. But then again, we will be traveling to CA for a whole week in early February, so hopefully I won't gain anything and perhaps keep losing since our friends we stay with eat very similar to us (mostly healthy!)

I found a workout DVD that I really enjoy...Leslie Sansone's 5 mile Fat Burning Walking Workout! Got it at Costco, along with a yoga DVD, for a very good price! ($10 for both!) I've typically been doing 3 of the 5 miles most mornings. I like it because I can pick which mile I want to do. Each mile is done in 12 minutes so it doesn't take too long to do three of them. Its a nice change from the T-Tapp DVD's that I've done for a couple years. The weather is so nice out right now, I think I might just take a brisk walk around the neighborhood.

Maybe by Spring I will be where I want to be and feel great about putting on my bathing suit again!! We shall see!!

Just monkeyin' around!

Meet Dexter! He is just the cutest little monkey we've ever met! Last night, we had the rare and fun opportunity for some monkey business. A lady friend of my Dad has a niece who owns this cute little creature. We were invited to come play with Dexter for a little while Sunday night! Needless to say, the girls were just thrilled by him. They each got a turn to have Dexter up close and personal. Emily and Sarah each got to feed him a tiny bottle (which only took about 3 seconds total!) He liked to climb up on Maegan the most, because she was calm enough to just sit there and let him come to her (the other two girls couldn't quite grasp that concept!)

I'm going to try to get Dexter's owner (Susan) to bring him to a homeschool activity. She said she would do it! I'm glad she doesn't live too far away and would be willing to share him with our group and teach us about monkeys.

Of course all I heard on the way home was, "Mom, I want a monkey!!!" That is so NOT happening!
