Last weekend (Sept 6), we decided to take a picnic and spend the afternoon up in Pine Valley. We invited my dad along with us. He needs all the distractions he can get lately since he's alone now! Pine Valley is one of my most favorite places on earth, and I have so many fond memories there from my own childhood. The girls had a ball playing in the picnic area, and then we spent a while at the reservoir. Papa reeled in a few fish and the girls were able to help! Maegan and Emily also spotted a snake in the water, which Jason promptly plucked out for further inspection.
